The Floating Piers, by Christo, on Italy's Iseo Lake.

Visitors can experience this work of art by walking on it , above the surface of the water. For 16 days - June 18 , trough July 3, you can see and walk on the Floating Piers, a special performance realized by 100.000 square meters of shimmering yellow fabric, carried by a modulare floating dock system of polyethylene cubes, will ondulate with the movement of the waves as the Floating Piers rise, just above the surface of the water .

You can walk on it from Sulzano to Monte Isola and to the small San Paolo island . A 3 km -long walkway extends across the water of lake, the way continues along 1,5 kilometers of pedestrians streets around .

By day and night, all the time .

This is the first large -scale project , by Christo and Jeanne Claude togheter in 1970 . And now it's areality !
